At Blüm International, we believe in beauty the way nature intended—with no plastic, if possible. As a studio florist we've intentionally built our business differently. By operating as a design studio for members rather than a walk-in flower shop, we reduce energy consumption, maximize waste minimization, and purchase with greater purpose. Whenever possible, we design using reusable mechanics including glass vessels, flower frogs, natural branch armatures, and refillable hydration systems. We minimize single-use plastics by avoiding floral foam and disposable water tubes whenever design requirements allow. For installations requiring extended hydration, we prioritize durable, reusable solutions that can be sanitized and used again for future celebrations. Every decision we make is guided by the belief that thoughtful design and environmental responsibility belong together.

Design with intention. We source flowers specifically for our members' orders whenever possible, reducing excess inventory and preventing unnecessary floral waste.

Choose seasonal and regional blooms first. We prioritize flowers that are in season and grown closer to home whenever quality and availability allow, helping reduce logistic emissions while celebrating the beauty of each season.

Order responsibly. Rather than stocking large coolers of flowers that may never be used, we purchase intentionally, ensuring every stem has a purpose.

Reduce energy consumption. As a private floral studio, we operate without the energy demands of a daily retail storefront, large display refrigerators, or extended business hours, allowing us to maintain a significantly smaller operational footprint.

Reuse and recycle whenever possible. Shipping materials, containers, and protective packaging are reused within our studio whenever they remain safe and presentable. Floral waste is composted in-house, making complimentary portions available to our clients for their own potted arrangements and local gardens.

Select only sustainable materials. We continually seek alternatives to single-use plastics, floral foam, and unnecessary packaging, choosing reusable, recyclable, or compostable materials whenever they meet our standards for quality and design.

Deliver thoughtfully. We organize deliveries efficiently to reduce unnecessary travel, helping lower fuel consumption while ensuring each arrangement arrives in exceptional condition.

Our Promise
We don't claim perfection, and we won't make promises we can't keep. Fresh flowers are part of a global supply chain, and some blooms travel long distances depending on the season, weather, and availability. When that is necessary, we remain committed to making responsible choices everywhere else within our control.
